Murata switches designed for open/close detection

Murata Electronics North America introduced its smallest anisotropic
magneto resistance (AMR) switch to its product portfolio. The switches
measure only 1.0 mm x 0.9 mm x 0.5 mm. Murata’s magnetic switches are a
cost effective replacement for traditional mechanical switches, which
typically have wear and tear problems over the life of the product. 
Murata’s more reliable magnetic switches are also designed to be
waterproof which is especially appealing to white good manufacturers.
