AIS releases sunlight readable LCD displays for outdoor applications

American Industrial Systems Inc has introduced sunlight readable LCD
monitors featuring passive transflective technology, which reflects and
transmits light (transflective = transmissive + reflective). Under
bright illumination such as direct sunlight exposure, the display acts
as a reflective LCD with the contrast being constant with illuminance.
