ODU announces the addition of the MAC LC (Low Cycle) modular connector line. The LC has been developed as an economical high density connector system that integrates power, signal and coax in 1 DIN housing. Borrowing the high density modular concept from the standard MAC connector system and combining it with the stamped contacts from the company’s Mini-Snap line, the LC is capable of integrating up to 370 signal contacts into a standard size 4 DIN frame. At half the cost of the standard MAC, the LC requires fewer tools and less labour to assemble. This, while maintaining a high number of mating cycles – up to 5,000. The LC is already proving its effectiveness as an interface connector in machine construction, in medical applications, in environmental testing and in the transportation industry.
